This session will begin with a variety of breathing techniques and gentle floor movements that focus on slowing down, creating space, and bringing awareness to the body's connective tissues. Gentle inversions, twists, and hip openers, as well as restorative poses will be offered with enough time to more fully support the body, to facilitate a felt sense of ease and comfort, and to reduce fatigue. We will conclude with a long savasana, pranayama work, and a short meditation.
This practice is accessible for all levels, including those who have never tried yoga. Props (bolster, blocks, several blankets or towels, eye pillow, and strap) are necessary and will be provided to make the practice more accessible.
Following the 90 minute yoga session, you are invited to share in a variety of local winter wellness herbal teas, tonics, and elixirs from tina's Botanicals as Tina leads a short discussion of the medicinal herbs and herbal remedies that she grows and are available to us.
A variety of locally grown Herbal teas and products will be available to participants for purchase after the Winter Wellness Yoga and Herbal Retreat.
Please pre-register by Jan 25 to secure your spot. Space is limited to 12 participants.

Yoga Invitation for Optimal Health in Galesburg with Tina
Please join Tina in 2023 as we expand and embody our understanding of all the possibilities our yoga practice has to offer us.
B.K.S. Iyengar suggests that the practice of yoga teaches us to live fully in the physical and spiritual sense, while cultivating an expanded consciousness of loving, living, and healing in our everyday activities for ourselves and those around us. The practice of Yoga is a prescription for optimal health in body, mind, and spirit and can be life changing. When the yoga practice is crafted and implemented carefully, it is accessible to us all and can increase overall health, reduce stress, promote states of relaxation, improve balance, strengthen bones, promote flexibility, improve immune system, increase oxygen supply to tissues, lift mood, foster psychological equanimity, heighten sexual functioning and fulfillment, and promote spiritual well being.

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. I am a certified Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and have participated in over 1000 hours of yoga teacher trainings. My original 200 hour teacher training was with Todd Norian, Ann Greene and Marsha Nieland in Anusara Yoga. On going studies have been in therapeutic yoga, sensory awareness training, and restorative yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater, Tias Little of Prajna Yoga, Todd Norian of Ashaya Yoga and Linda Troutman of Head to Toe Yoga/ Prairie Yoga.
